Big Three Bailout
kramernewsite073001.jpg
Well today the big three went before Congress and begged for $25 BILLION in bailout money. That would be on top of the $700 BILLION Nation-wide bailout. We're starting to throw the word "billion" around a lot without hesitation. Pretty scary, I digress. I am probably going to piss some of you off with what I'm about to say, but I can't help it. So go ahead and get your shit talking gloves on. You'll have your chance to respond.
Why should your tax dollars go to bailing out a shitty industry?

Chrysler? GM? Please. You mean to tell me that all of you reading this buy American cars only? In this economy and the way gas prices were, you seriously think you may get mad at me for saying that?

Everything in the WORLD comes down to MONEY! EVERYTHING! That'll be another rant on another day, trust me...but if I were going to buy a new car right now, the last one I'd choose would be an American car. No way would I buy something made here right now. Why? Because they just aren't as good of a product as other Country's cars. Period. Hyundai. Toyota. Mitsubishi. My GOD the list goes on and on. I certainly wouldn't buy a car to be Patriotic right now. Who is? Who would? Who did? Who will? Not I!

I think a LOT of people feel that way. If the company was a better company, it wouldn't have to worry about this right now. Why is it that the big three don't anticipate this kind of crappy economic climate? How can they be so successful one minute and when things get bad, they're crying for handouts from the Government?

There's a technological firm in San Jose that made an all electric car. You plug that sucker right into your outlet at night and charge it up. Its very cool. (I watch TV.) The man who made it spent his own company's money to develop the technology. It doesn't go as far as a regular car, by no means. It doesn't go fast either, but he developed and pioneered the technology. It can be done. A TECHNOLOGY-BASED BUSINESS MADE IT. It was only after that that any of the big three looked into making electric cars. My point is, no one gives a damn about gas, oil, energy, etc. until it starts affecting their money. When gas prices went up is when the American car makers started looking into other means, and it was only then that they got serious.

America is home to some of the best businesses and companies in the World. We have a little bit of everything. If we are so far ahead of other Countries in space, technology, business, etc. why can't we develop a car worth actually buying? Is the big three problem YOURS AND MY problem? Nope it isn't. Its time for us to worry about us and let the big guys worry too. Just because they are a company that employs many people, which has BEEN successful shouldn't mean that our tax money goes to bail them out. There are mom and pop businesses all over the place that are going under. I don't see the Government swooping in to save THEM.
